AREA ATTRACTIONS
Southern West Virginia
has
something for everyone! The second oldest river in the world, the New River, flows
northward through its beautiful hills and fields. The vistas are some of the finest in the

Fishing is outstanding,
especially for smallmouth bass and trout in the New River and surrounding rivers such as
the Bluestone and Greenbrier. Boating and fishing at the Bluestone Dam is also a
treat, and only minutes from Nostalgia Inn.
Pipestem
Resort State Park,
"Crown Jewel of the WV State Parks System", is
just across the road from Nostalgia Inn. The Park has beautiful scenic
overlooks of the Bluestone Gorge, restaurants, modern conference facilities, two golf
courses and much more! Pipestem's golf courses, along with the nearby Glade Spring
Golf Resort and River Falls Resort Park, are on the West Virginia's
Legends of Golf Trail.

Also, Nostalgia Inn has superb bike trails nearby, such the below spring scenes; just imagine how beautiful they will look this
fall.
Nostalgia Inn has antiques and period artifacts from
Southern
West Virginia counties, including Mercer, Summers, Fayette, Mingo, McDowell and
Greenbrier. In fact, six of our seven bedrooms are named after each of these
counties. Many
historical and cultural events took place in these counties, such as the famous
Hatfield and McCoy
feud, which took place in Mingo County, WV. Each of the six counties we feature has a
unique history and an attractive present. We will help you rediscover their past and their
present during your stay at Nostalgia Inn.
Also, Concord University and
Virginia Tech are nearby. Only 12 miles from Pipestem,
Concord is in Athens, WV, while Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA is a little over an hour
away.
Finally, Hinton,
historic Lewisburg,
and "The Greenbrier" are
nearby. Only 10 minutes away, Hinton is just down Route 20 from Pipestem.
Lewisburg and "The Greenbrier" are less than an hour from Pipestem,
both just off I64. (Map)
